Fitter & Turner – Assignment‑Based Roles (New Zealand)

We are seeking skilled Fitters & Turners with strong machining experience to support our clients across engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance environments.

About the Role

You will manufacture, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical components using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other precision tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and machine tools
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
• Assemble and align mechanical components
• Perform fault‑finding, repairs, and maintenance
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Perform basic welding where required
• Maintain safe and tidy work practices

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in fitting/turning or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years’ machining experience
• Strong understanding of tolerances and measurement tools
• Ability to work independently and meet quality standards
• Valid driver’s licence
