About the Role

We are seeking skilled and reliable Carpenters to join established construction teams across New Zealand. These roles involve a mix of residential, commercial, and civil carpentry work, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and high‑quality workmanship. Successful candidates must be confident working independently and as part of a crew, following plans, and delivering work to NZ building standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of carpentry including framing, formwork, finishing, and fit‑out
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, and structural components
  • Carry out concrete formwork, boxing, and shuttering
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Assist with site preparation, measurements, and layout
  • Work collaboratively with builders, site managers, and other trades
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
  • Follow all NZ health and safety requirements and site protocols

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter (residential, commercial, or civil)
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans
  • Experience with framing, formwork, finishing, and general construction
  • Good understanding of site safety and safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

  • NZ experience or exposure to NZ building standards
  • Experience with concrete formwork and structural carpentry
  • Ability to operate site machinery (e.g., nail guns, saws, drills)
  • Full drivers licence
