Industrial Electrician (EWRB Registered)

Location: Various NZ industrial sites

We are seeking skilled Industrial Electricians to support maintenance, repairs, and fault‑finding across operational and industrial environments. This role requires hands-on technical ability, strong safety awareness, and consistent reliability. EWRB registration is essential, or you must be actively progressing toward it.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical maintenance, repairs, and fault‑finding on industrial plant and equipment
  • Perform electrical isolation, lockout, and testing in line with NZ electrical and site requirements
  • Communicate clearly during shift handovers, fault escalation, and job reporting
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce breakdowns and downtime
  • Work independently or within a site-based maintenance team
  • Maintain consistent attendance and reliability in operational or shift-based environments
  • Follow all site safety standards, procedures, and reporting requirements

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • EWRB registration OR evidence of registration currently in progress (required)
  • Electrical trade qualification (NZ or recognised overseas equivalent)
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, or processing environments
  • Proven hands-on experience with electrical fault‑finding
  • Familiarity with structured safety systems and permit-to-work processes
  • Role Focus – Industrial Electrical Systems
  • Motors, switchgear, and industrial electrical equipment
  • Control panels and plant electrical systems
  • Exposure to VSDs, PLCs, or SCADA systems (beneficial but not essential)
  • High-voltage or live network experience (advantageous)

  • Communicates effectively with supervisors, planners, and site teams
  • Works safely and methodically in safety‑critical environments
  • Maintains professional conduct and compliance with site and electrical standards
